Bardsey, named by the previous owners who were evacuated to Bardsey in Yorkshire during the war, is an exciting garden which has been developed over the last 5 or 6 years by its present owners Maggie and David Boyd.
Now that the garden is maturing we continue to try and enhance it each year with the addition of new plants and shrubs and structures.
The garden was featured in the June 2009 edition of Surrey Life - Haslemere’s secret garden.
The garden is a two-acre garden on greensand and clay, currently separated into 4 distinct areas. Fragrant herb and rose parterre bordered by lavender and box; pink, purple and white herbaceous borders; raised vegetable beds and caged fruit garden. In lower garden several natural and temperamental ponds, planting and area of young fruit trees, including a Bardsey apple tree.
